Sewline Aqua Erasers and Fabric Glue Pens Are Here!

We just received some new supplies that are great for quilting and sewing! Sewline has a new Aqua Eraser out.This is a gentle way to remove pencil marks from fabrics!

There is also the new Fabric Glue Pen from Sewline. This a quick, effective way to hold fabrics for sewing ... you don't have to use your pins! The glue dries clear and is very easy to refill!

Come into the shop anytime to see these handy new notions!

Janome Post-Party

The unveiling party of the Janome Horizon was a hit! If you weren't there, you sure missed out! There was very delicious carrot cake with hot coffee and doorprizes!

The demonstrations of the new Horizon were really wonderful and helpful for the quilters who came to see the great features of this new machine! We had a crowd gathered around the machine practically all day. It was great to see everyone learning about the machine and practicing on it. Donna Rash also did an excellent job of demonstrating the Horizon all day and showing everyone what this machine can do! Thank you to Donna and everyone who worked hard to make this party happen! A big thanks to everyone who came in to the shop and celebrated with us!

Classy Spring Poppies are in!

We just received some beautiful spring fabrics at Windy Moon! The line is called "Poppy Lane" designed by Alice Kennedy and Timeless Treasures Fabric. Bright red pops out from the black and white with a classic style! These fabrics would be great in any spring projects you have on your to do list!

Spring is Fluttering In

The Moon now has some great lines of fabric for butterfly lovers! Just one more thing that reminds us of beautiful springtime. Here's two lines we just got in the store!

The first is a cute panel from Timeless Treasures. The lovely ladies at Windy Moon have selected some great fabrics that match the panel perfectly!

More butterfly fabrics include a line by Fabric Freedom called "Flutterbright". The panel has two butterflies and two flowers. We also have lots of coordinating fabrics to go with the line

If you're not into butterflies, we have lots of other little bugs waiting to be put into whatever cute projects you have for springtime. All of these fabrics are great for spring, Mother's Day, I-Spy quilts, applique, and whatever great projects you have going on!

Mother's Day is Coming!

We hope you're all doing well! The spring weather is finally starting to make its appearance! Let's hope it stays sunny and nice for awhile more.

We're getting ready for Mother's day! This day is important to all of us and moms love being appreciated. Start planning something great for your own mother or maybe a mother that you're close to! They would love to know how much you love having them in your life!

Here in the store we have up the batik and print lines "Close to my Heart" from Moda. This would be great to use for any projects you plan to make for your mom! We also have some darling photo albums that are 25% off right now. These would make great, quick little gifts for Mom, so hurry into the shop and pick one up!

Looking Back to Beautiful Fabrics

We hope you all had a great National Quilt Day yesterday! We loved seeing everyone in the shop!

Well we have some new beautiful fabric in our civil war section. This line is "Looking Back", designed by Jan Patek and Linda Brannock with Moda.

Be sure to come in and check it out! We have a handful of kits using this fabric to make the "Oak Leaves and Berries" pattern by Jan Patek.

The 18mm mini rotary blade is perfect for various materials like foil, silk, or tissue paper and it doesn't skip or tear. The finger loop handle wraps around your finger for control and precision. Great for not only sewing and quilting but for any other crafts you ladies work on!

Hello Spring

We don't know about you, but we're tired of rainy, cold weather! So we're getting ready for spring!

Valentines Day is almost gone so hurry in to get the last of the Valentines fabric because we are moving on!

Saint Patricks' Day is calling and we're getting all of our green out for you! Come see if there's a fabric you need for seasonal decorations for your house. Also remember you could make some cute dresses and skirts so you don't get pinched!

We're also bringing out some bright, colorful fabric for Easter! If there are some Easter projects you would like to finish or still need fabric for, we have some great combinations waiting for you. Come check out the Eden line by Moda.

Gee's Bend Quilts at the Nevada Museum of Art

The women of Gee's Bend have demonstrated how much tradition there is to quilting. These beautiful quilts are now internationally esteemed and is being respected as "miraculous works modern art".

We currently have the Gee's Bend line by Windham Fabrics and many kits available!

The Nevada Museum of Art is having an exhibition on Gee's Bend Quilts starting February 6th through April 11th. This will be a wonderful show for all to visit and experience!

We would really like to encourage you to take the time to see A Survey of Gee's Bend Quilts at the Nevada Museum of Art. For more information, visit http://www.nevadaart.org/exhibitions/detail?eid=142. Admission prices for the gallery are as follows: $10 for General Admission, $8 for Student/Seniors, $1 for Children 6 to 12 years, Free for Nevada Museum of Art Members, Free for High school students enrolled in Washoe County School District with valid school I.D., Free for Children 5 and under. The gallery hours are Wednesday – Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm, Thursdays: 10 am to 8 pm, and closed Mondays, Tuesdays and national holidays.

The Safari Club

Beware! Wild quilters on the loose! Well, at least our fabric is! We have a new section for various safari, wildlife, and animal prints. Our Safari Club includes the "Sanctuary" line from Willmington Prints, the lines "Whitetail Valley", "Wolf Song", "Leopards", "Elephants", "Zebras" from Exclusively Quilters.

We're also getting ready to go see Ricky Tims' Super Quilt Seminar in Rocklin, California! The Seminar is June 24th through 26th. Windy Moon Quilts is taking a bus of quilters to attend the seminar. If you're interested, would like more information, or need to reserve your spot, call the shop at (775) 323-4777. We need 48 people to make the bus trip happen so sign up fast and bring along three friends!
